Dear Parents/Guardians,
This letter is to update you on the construction status of our new replacement school. I am delighted to share with you that the school will be ready to welcome students and staff on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 5th. Please note that Parents/Guardians of Junior Kindergarten students will receive a staggered entry schedule the week of August 28th. School office staff will contact parents of Junior Kindergarten students via phone with this schedule.
To celebrate the opening of our new school, we have planned a small ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place on Tuesday, September 5th at 8:50 a.m. Please join us as we plan to have the students photographed at our ribbon cutting celebration. Board officials including Trustee, Theresa McNicol, Director of Education, Patricia Preston, Associate Director, Frances Bagley, and Superintendent Opiyo Oloya will be in attendance.

School Bell Times
The bell times for our school are as follows:
Start Time: 8:50 a.m. (supervision begins at 8:35 a.m.)
First Recess: 10:10—10:25 a.m.
Lunch Break and Recess: 11:45 a.m.—12:45 p.m.
Second Recess: 2:05—2:20 p.m.
Dismissal: 3:20 p.m.
Before and After School Program
The Before and After School Program provider is York Professional Care and Education. For more information about this provider and/or to register your child, you may visit their website or call at 905.473.1106.
School Transportation
Please visit www.schoolbuscity.com for information regarding your child(ren)’s eligibility for busing services as well as bus stop locations and times.
